We read the official register directly. Last checked 18 October 2026What the titles mean in Portugal
The Ordem dos Médicos registers every doctor allowed to practise in Portugal and awards specialist titles through its colleges. 'Medicina Estética e Cosmética' is a separate competence held by non-surgeons, not the plastic surgery title.
We read the Ordem dos Médicos register directly, including any suspension notes, and check the SPCPRE member list and hospital directories.
